The front will be moving in by early Thursday. So, we’ll start the day with temperatures in the mid 40s for Lubbock. There will be ample amounts of sunshine during the day, but we’ll feel that cooler air with highs dropping more than ten degrees area-wide in the afternoon. So, we’ll be getting back below average on Thursday, with Lubbock getting to 70°, mid 60s west & mid 70s to the east.

Friday morning will be the coldest this week, thanks to clear skies & light wind. Many spots west of Lubbock will be dropping down into the mid 30s. Parmer & Castro Counties may even get close to the freezing mark. We will have to watch & see. Lubbock will be starting out the day at 40°, but with the sunshine & southwest wind, highs will be climbing up to the average mark of 75°. So, things will be cooler for the football games on Friday night.
