KLBK Midday Web Forecast October 24, 2016

Midweek is going to see the return of sunny skies & very warm conditions. An upper-level high pressure system will set up to our west on Wednesday. This is going to keep the sun with us & bring highs up into the mid 80s once again. Those readings will get in the upper 80s off the Caprock in the afternoon hours. Wind will be light, so it will actually feel warmer than it is that day.

Well, expect much of the same on Thursday. I feel like we are getting into a summertime pattern here in late October. I am saying, sunny, dry, warm, basically every day. That is what happens in a La Nina year, with high pressure staying overhead. Highs will be the highest on Thursday, with Lubbock getting up to 86°. I can’t rule out some 90° readings in the Rolling Plains, either.
