A cold front will move through the area during the day on Wednesday. That will keep highs in check, or at least compared to what we’ve seen lately. The ridge of high pressure will be kicked out of the way with this cold front. Lubbock will see a high of 79°, which is still seven degrees above average. The wind will drop behind the front to 5-10 mph.
The cooler air will certainly be felt for the day on Thursday. We’ll actually be feeling like we should for the month of November. Expect skies to be cloudy, wind will be at 10-15 mph. We’ll see a high of only 70° in Lubbock, which is right where we should be. There will be spotty showers & storms in the area, only covering 10% of us. So, have an umbrella to be safe, but, in all likelihood, you won’t need it.
