Warm weather will continue as we round out the work week. Friday is shaping up to see more triple digit heat in the Rolling Plains. Highs there will make it to 100°-102° in some places. The wind is going to increase to 10-15 mph, so that will at least try to help us out. Lubbock is looking to see mostly sunny skies, with a high temperature of 95°. So, it will be a warm night for high school football games.

By Saturday, we’ll see increasing clouds through the early afternoon. This will help to try to keep things cooler. The clouds will give us several breaks from the sunshine. So, highs will not be as high as earlier in the week. Lubbock will make it up to a high temperature of 88°. Wind will be at 10-15 mph. So, just stay safe while tailgating in the afternoon.
