We’ll look at drier conditions for the end of the weekend. A ridge of high pressure will begin to move into the area. That will help to promote mostly sunny skies & it will bring in warm conditions. Sunday is looking to be mostly sunny, highs will be able to climb to the upper 80s, with low 90s off the Caprock. Wind is going to remain light, only at 5-10 mph. This will help to dry out from any rain that we will see in the area on Saturday.
To start the next work & school week, the ridge will be centered pretty much overhead. So, expect the sunny skies, light wind & warm air to continue for the day Monday. In fact, with plenty of sunshine, highs will easily eclipse the 90° mark in the area. Lubbock will see a high of 93°, with mid & even some upper 90s in the Rolling Plains.
