By midweek, the sun is going to shine & high pressure will really take control of the weather in the area. With the sunshine, we’ll see highs climbing up into the low 80s for Lubbock & mid 80s off the Caprock. With the high pressure taking over for this week, expect the weather to stay dry & calm. We do need the rainfall, but for now, just enjoy the nice, Autumn weather.
Thursday will see a few things going on. High temperatures will drop down into the upper 70s for Lubbock, thanks to the fact that we will see those fair-weather cumulus clouds returning to the area. Texas Tech football hosts Kansas on Thursday night. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s at kickoff, but we will be feeling cool by the 2nd half. So, dress warm if you will be attending the Big 12 opener here Thursday night.
