For Wednesday, showers & storms will be on the increase, thanks to a tropical system in the eastern Pacific. Copious amounts of moisture will be overhead, so showers & storms will be more scattered around west Texas. The coverage for the area is going to increase to 30%. So, have the rain gear with you as you head out on Wednesday. The high will get to 84° in Lubbock.
The latter half of the week will actually start to see things clear out. There will be leftover cumulus clouds floating around the area, but that won’t block the sunshine. Highs will be able to climb up into the upper 80s, which is going to be average for this time of year. I can’t rule out isolated storms, either, at 10%. So, just have the rain gear in the car for the high school games Friday night.
