KLBK Saturday PM Weather: December 31, 2016

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with temperatures falling to the lower 30s. We have a slight chance for some leftover showers, but everything should dry up overnight. East wind 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: It’s going to be a bit warmer for our New Year’s Day. Temperatures will climb to the lower 60s under mostly sunny skies. Conditions will remain dry until the late evening when showers and storms begin to roll through. Don’t be surprised if you hear some thunder as these showers/storms move through the region into early Monday.

Extended: Everything will dry out by Monday morning. Temperatures will make it to the upper 60s on Monday under sunny skies. We’ll drop to the mid 50s on Wednesday, but then a stronger system moves through Tuesday night into Wednesday. This is going to be an arctic front, which will usher in much colder air for the second half of the week. High temperatures will stay in the 30s Wednesday through Friday. There’s also a slight chance to see some precipitation during that time, and with those temperatures below freezing for most of the day, any of that precipitation could turn into a wintry mix or even some light snow.

Happy New Year!!
