Overnight: Partly cloudy conditions will remain, which will keep temperatures a bit warmer for the early morning hours, in the lower 30s. Winds will stay on the breezy side out of the southwest around 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunday will be a very warm January day, something that is not usually what we see this time of year. Temperatures will climb into the 70s, but there will be windy conditions to go along with these temperatures. Southwesterly winds will start out around 10-15 mph, but will reach as high as 20-30 mph in the afternoon and early evening hours. Humidity will also be low, causing very dry air. Due to these conditions, a fire weather watch will be in effect from noon to 6 pm on Sunday for the Central and Western South Plains. Any fire will have the ability to spread quickly, so outdoor burning is discouraged.

Extended: An upper level disturbance will bring the chance for some light snow on Tuesday morning along with much cooler temperatures.
