Tonight: Clouds will move back into the South Plains overnight with the potential for a few rain showers to pop up. Most of us will remain dry and temperatures will drop to the upper 60s. South southeast wind 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunday will be another beautiful day with partly sunny skies by the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s, which is right where we should be for this time of year. Drier air will keep us with very low rain chances, but we could see a few isolated storms develop to the north and west of Lubbock. Majority of the region will stay dry. South wind 10-20 mph.

Extended: We are expecting fairly quiet and beautiful weather for the remainder of the holiday weekend, before rain chances return on Tuesday and continue through the end of the work week. Temperatures will remain in the mid and upper 80s for most areas on the Caprock this week, but we will reach 90 degrees on Friday.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!
