Welcome to Summer:

Summer officially arrived at 11:38 AM Sunday morning. That’s when the Summer Solstice occurred here in our time zone.

It turned out to be a perfect Father’s Day across the area with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures that were slightly below normal the start of summer. Expect mostly clear conditions across the area overnight.

The new work week will start out mostly sunny with near average high temperatures for this time of year. There is still quiet a bit of humidity in the air, so afternoon highs will feel just a bit warmer than the actual air temperature.

A quiet weather pattern will continue across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains this week with mostly sunny conditions with highs in the lower 90s and overnight lows in the middle and upper 60s.

Your KLBK First Warning Forecast:

Tonight: Mostly clear with overnight lows in the middle and upper 60s. South-southeast wind 10-15 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. South wind 10-20 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear with lows in the middle to upper 60s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the lower 90s.

Have a great week!
