KLBK Sunday PM Weather – 7/5/15

Happy Sunday Night,

Great day we had to finish off the holiday weekend!  We reached a high of 92 degrees today with partly cloudy conditions.  At this hour, temperatures still sitting around 80s degrees in the South and Rolling Plains.  Breezy conditions out there tonight with winds moving out of the South around 10-20 miles per hour.

We will start the day off tomorrow with some cloud cover through the afternoon, but will rise up into the 90s once again.  This is due to pre-frontal warming ahead of the cold front that will begin moving in Monday night.  The cold front mixed with low pressure will bring isolated showers and storms in the evening hours Monday.  The South and Rolling plains will see periods of heavy rain throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.  We are not expecting anything severe, but flooding with definitely be a concern.  Temperatures will cool down significantly on Tuesday and drop into the high 70s.  We will progressively warm up as this cold front passes through and as we head towards the weekend.  Temperatures should be back into the 90s by Friday with seasonal conditions again for Saturday and Sunday.

Have a great week and try to stay dry out there!
