Today: Cloudy conditions will stick around today with temperatures only making it to the lower 40s. A low pressure system to the southwest is causing moisture to stream in over the state line. This is why we have been seeing isolated showers moving NE through the region this morning and some light wintry mix to the north. Any precipitation we receive this afternoon will just be rain. East wind 5-15 mph.
Tonight: Cloudy skies will continue overnight with another round of showers and the potential for more wintry mix in the Northwestern South Plains. Temperatures will drop to the mid 30s. SSW wind 5-10 mph.
Extended: Conditions should dry up by Friday afternoon and we will remain dry and warmer through Saturday. Another cold front will move through on Christmas day bringing windy conditions, but mild temperatures. There is also a slight chance for isolated showers early Sunday.
Have a great day!
