Good Tuesday Morning:

We are starting the day with low clouds again across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. The clouds this morning are coming in from the north and northwest and are moving off to the south. There is also some clouds trying to build back up from the Permian Basin. These clouds will stick around into the morning hours and may linger into early afternoon. We should become mostly sunny into the afternoon and into the early evening hours.

Quiet weather is expected this evening and tonight with mostly clear conditions. We may see the low clouds return by early Wednesday morning and then burn off as we head into the morning.

We will remain mostly sunny as we head into Thursday. As mentioned yesterday, the South Plains has been on the eastern edge of a high pressure area across the southwest United States. The high will shift west and northwest in a few days. Moisture will increase by late week and this weekend. Isolated thunderstorm chances return to the South Plains and the Rolling Plains by Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Significant rainfall is not expected at this time.
