Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been another beautiful, sunny and hot day across the South Plains with highs sitting back in the mid-80’s. However, the winds have been quite a nuisance this afternoon, with gusts reaching up to 70MPH. Wind speeds will stay strong overnight and through early tomorrow morning but will calm down by the Thursday afternoon. The other noticeable change tomorrow will be our temperatures. Highs will plummet into the mid 60’s tomorrow with the cool down continuing through Saturday when highs will struggle to get past the fifty degree mark. Saturday we will also see our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. They will start right after midnight and continue through the evening hours on Saturday. Some of these storms could be severe so make sure to stay weather aware!
