Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a much calmer day across the South Plains with winds remaining under 20MPH. The other big difference was our temperatures, which plummeted back into the mid-60’s. This will remain the case on Friday as well but cloud cover will be on the increase and then Friday evening we are watching for the next chance for showers and thunderstorms.  The Storm Predication Center has placed the Eastern and Southern South Plains in the Marginal Risk category Friday night which means there is a risk for strong to severe storms possible so make sure to stay weather aware. Showers and thunderstorms will continue all day on Saturday which will cause temperatures to struggle to reach the fifty degree mark. Thankfully, as sunshine returns on Sunday, so will warmer temperatures.
