Happy FINALLY Friday everyone! It has been a cool and cloudy day across the South Plains and as we head into this evening we are watching for our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. The Storm Predication Center has placed the Eastern and Southern South Plains in the Slight and Marginal Risk categories this evening which means there is a risk for strong to severe storms possible so make sure to stay weather aware. Showers and thunderstorms will continue all day on Saturday which will cause temperatures to struggle to reach past the mid-40’s. Thankfully, as sunshine returns on Sunday, so will warmer temperatures with highs moving into the low 70’s Sunday afternoon and then into the mid-80’s by Tuesday. Windy conditions will also return but will not be as bad as this past week.
