Happy FINALLY Friday everyone! After an exceptionally hot Thursday, a cold front arrived bringing some much cooler air behind it. That has also brought us some very strong winds that are bringing blowing dust and fire weather potential to the South Plains for the remainder of today. A secondary cold front will slide through the region this evening which will bring another dose of cold air to the South Plains. We will drop into the 30’s for your lows Saturday morning and highs will only reach into the low 60’s. Windy conditions will stick around through tomorrow so avoid burning of any kind and make sure to dispose of cigarettes properly. Despite this series of fronts, we are expecting abundant sunshine for the next six days and we have another quick warm up beginning on Sunday.
