Happy Wednesday everyone! After the passage of last night’s cold front, temperatures have been remarkably cooler with highs dropping into the low to mid-70’s this afternoon. This will remain the case on Thursday as well with more sunshine in the forecast. The big headliner for this week will be another stronger front that will arrive late Thursday evening/early Friday morning. This will keep our temperatures around average for the remainder of the work week and it will bring us our first chance for measurable rainfall in three weeks! Friday we are expecting showers and thunderstorms on and off all day that will linger into Saturday morning. There will be the possibility of severe storms during that time frame so make sure to stay weather aware! Right now the Storm Prediction Center has placed the Southwestern South Plains under a Marginal Risk.
