Happy Thursday everyone! It has been another sunny and mild day across the South Plains with temperatures back in the low 70’s. The big headliner in this week’s forecast will be another stronger front that will arrive Friday evening. This will drop our temperatures way below average for your Friday and Saturday and it will bring us our first chance for measurable rainfall in three weeks! Showers and thunderstorms will begin Friday late afternoon and continue through much of the day on Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Western portions of the South Plains under the Marginal Risk Category for strong to severe storms. Biggest threats will be large hail and damaging wind gusts so make sure to stay weather aware!
