Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been another beautiful and sunny day across the South Plains with high temperatures moving into the low 80’s. The only downside of the day was the windy conditions that brought blowing dust and fire weather danger to the region this afternoon. This will continue through this evening and end by midday tomorrow. Temperatures will remain in the low 80’s through Saturday afternoon with more sunshine on tap. However, we will see a small rain chance for our southern counties tomorrow morning and a larger chance Friday night into Saturday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Eastern South Plains in the Marginal Risk category for strong to severe storms Friday night so make sure to stay weather aware! Then by Saturday evening, we will see everything clear out, leaving us with perfect patio weather to cheer on the Red Raiders in their Final Four game! Temperatures will drop back into the mid-70’s on Sunday but will rebound quickly into the low 90’s by Wednesday and windy conditions will return through the middle of the week.
