Happy Wednesday everyone! We have had another sunny and hot day across the South Plains with highs back in the mid to upper 90’s. Just like yesterday, we are watching for another round of showers and thunderstorms to push across the Northern South Plains beginning early this evening and continuing through tomorrow morning. Friday will be a carbon copy of today with more sunny and hot conditions throughout the day and then storm chances returning at night. Remember to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours! And don’t forget to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated throughout the day. Then as we head into the weekend, rain chances will increase due to a strong cold front that is headed our way. Sadly, temperatures will not be impacted too much by this system.
