Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been another sunny and warm start to the work day with temperatures moving into the upper 80’s and low 90’s before the passage of the cold front this afternoon and this evening. This will not only drop temperatures back into the low 80’s for the next few days, but it will also bring us ample shower and thunderstorm chances. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Central and Northern South Plains under the Marginal Risk Category with strong winds, small to moderate sized hail, and heavy rain (and therefore flooding) as our biggest threats. Make sure to keep your umbrellas handy and if you see pooling water, turn around, don’t drown. Storm chances will continue on and off throughout the remainder of the work week and into the weekend so make sure to stay weather aware!
