August 28th, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Monday everyone! Sunshine will continue to be abundant in many locations this afternoon but we will be on the lookout for showers and thunderstorms to form over the region due to the cold front that is draped across North Texas. This will clear out by early tomorrow morning, leaving us will below average temperatures and lots of sunshine for the remainder of the work week. Low temperatures will be significantly below average partially due to the Northerly winds in the area, potentially reaching record numbers so make sure to keep a light jacket handy during the late evening and early morning hours. Also remember to be sun safe – wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Over the holiday weekend, temperatures will begin to heat up with a slight chance for rain in the forecast so make sure to stay weather aware.
