Happy Thursday everyone! It has been another sunny and hot day across the South Plains with highs back into the mid to upper 90’s. This will remain the case over the next six days, but we will see a few more rain chances in the mix. The first will come Friday night through early Saturday morning. It will be very isolated but some folks will see a few sprinkles. Then we will see a break from the rain with abundant sunshine being the headliner of the forecast. However, Wednesday night into Thursday, another front will push into the region, bringing a temperature drop and our next rain chance! Remember that rain or shine, it is still important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours! And don’t forget to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated throughout the day.
