August 5th, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Saturday everyone! It was a warmer day today across the South Plains with a bit of sunshine. As we move into the evening we will see a slight chance for storms. Winds tonight will be out of the south between 15 and 20 miles per hour. Tomorrow will be very similar to today with warm weather and sunshine before more evening storms.  Monday and Tuesday the storms chances will increase along with another cool down dropping temperatures back into the 80’s. You’ll want to have the umbrellas handy.  Slow moving storms dropping heavy amounts of rainfall will be possible allowing for the possibility of localized flooding.  Don’t try to drive through any pooling water and remember, turn around, don’t drown.  Beginning Wednesday we will see another warming trend with temperatures climbing back into the 90’s through the remainder of the week. Storm chances will also begin to decrease becoming very isolated.  Low temperatures this weekend and next week will continue between the mid 60’s and low 70’s.
