Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been a slightly warmer and sunny day across the South Plains with high temperatures back in the mid-50’s. This warning trend will continue for one more day with highs moving into the mid-60’s tomorrow. However, cloud cover will be on the increase throughout the day as our next cold front approaches. This front will arrive early Thursday morning, bringing very windy conditions, a 15-20 degree drop in temperatures and a slight chance for rain. If you have anything that can get blown around, it is recommended that you bring it inside on Wednesday evening and burning of any kind on Thursday is highly discouraged. Friday the sunshine will return and temperatures will move back above average again with similar conditions expected for the weekend! Remember that low temperatures will remain below the freezing mark for most of the week so keep your pets and potted plants indoors and your sprinklers off!
