Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a beautiful, sunny, and much cooler day across the South Plains following the passage of this morning’s cold front. Highs remained below average this afternoon only reaching in the low 50’s. Thankfully, high pressure takes over the region yet again allowing us to see another slow warm up into Saturday with our third front of the week arriving that evening. This will bring another cool down on Sunday and Monday and it will also bring our next chance for precipitation. Depending on the timing, we may see the chance for some wintry precipitation so make sure to stay tuned for updates. Throughout this temperature roller coaster, lows will also remain at or below the freezing mark for the remainder of the week and weekend which means that it is imperative to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn sprinklers off to prevent a multitude of issues.
