December 4th, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Monday everyone! We have had another warm and sunny day across the South Plains with highs in the low 70’s. After this warm start to December, we will see quite the change starting this evening. A cold front will push across the region tonight through tomorrow morning dropping lows back into the mid-20’s to the low 30’s and highs into the 40’s. That means that it is imperative to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn sprinklers off this week to prevent a multitude of issues. We are also watching for a possible chance of precipitation Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in the Southern portion of the South Plains. We may even see some wintry precipitation for a few folks based on the timing of this system. Then as we transition into the second half of the work week, sunshine will return and temperatures will slowly move into the upper 50’s on Friday and the low 60’s over the weekend.
