Happy Friday everyone! Temperatures have rebounded quickly today with highs flirting with the 1962 record of 84 degrees. This warming trend will continue tomorrow with highs expected to reach into the 90’s and surpass past records. Sunshine and breezy conditions will prevail through Saturday but big changes will begin early on Sunday. A strong cold front will push into the South Plains late Saturday night into early Sunday morning bringing a major drop in temperatures and a quick increase in cloud cover. This cool down will continue on Monday with highs barely surpassing the freezing mark. Precipitation is expected to begin Sunday night and continue through Wednesday morning. This precipitation will be a mix of rain, snow, sleet as low temperatures will return to below the freezing mark beginning on Monday morning and continuing every morning next week.
