Happy Monday everyone! We have had a warmer day across the South Plains with highs moving into the low 50’s and abundant sunshine across the region. A slow warming trend will continue through Thursday with highs moving into the mid-70’s by mid-week. However, cloud cover will be on the increase on Wednesday before our next front pushes into the region. This will be the headline of the forecast because with this front, we will see our first chance for precipitation in almost 100 days! We are expecting precipitation chances to increase Thursday evening and continue through Saturday morning. Due to our large temperature drop on Friday, there is a chance for wintry precipitation at times so make sure to drive with caution on Friday and Saturday mornings. Lows are expected to be in the low 30’s Friday morning and only reach into the low 40’s Friday afternoon. Temperatures will rebound quickly over the weekend with more sunshine and wind expected.
