Happy Monday everyone! It has been a very chilly start to the work week with highs dropping into the upper 30’s. The strong cold front that has slowly been approaching us will push across the region tomorrow dropping low temperatures into the teens and twenties and highs into the low 30’s. We will also watch for freezing rain, sleet and snow showers to move across the South Plains throughout the day on Tuesday which means icy road conditions are expected. Pets and potted plants need to come indoors and it is imperative that you turn your sprinklers off. Thankfully, starting on Wednesday, we will see high temperatures rebound into the low to mid-60’s Thursday through the beginning of next week and sunshine will return to the forecast. Our next precipitation chance will arrive Friday night through Saturday morning but low temperatures look to stay above the freezing mark.
