Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been a cold and overcast day across the South Plains with many folks to the east of Lubbock getting to see some wintry mix showers. This will continue on and off throughout the next few hours with it tapering off by early evening so make sure to drive with caution throughout the remainder of the day. Temperatures will remain in the low 20’s Thursday morning so make sure to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and make sure to turn your sprinklers off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways. Then we will see a slow warming trend that will continue through the beginning of next week with sunshine returning by Friday. Unfortunately over the weekend, windy conditions also return to the forecast with blowing dust possible. We will also see another long break in precipitation chances.
