Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a warmer day across the South Plains with highs back in the mid-60’s. However, beginning tomorrow we start to see a minor cool down as our next cold front slides into the region. High temperatures will drop into the low 60’s over the next three days with freezing low temperatures returning on Sunday morning. We are also watching for a small rain chance Friday into early Saturday morning but by Saturday afternoon sunshine will return and it will stick around throughout much of next week. The only other thing to note in the forecast is that Saturday will be a very windy day as well with blowing dust expected throughout the afternoon. That also means there will be a higher risk for fire weather so avoid burning of any kind on Saturday and make sure to dispose of cigarettes properly.
