February 6th, 2019 Evening Weather

Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been another warm day across the South Plains with highs sitting back in the low 70’s. Unlike yesterday, sunshine returned this afternoon and will stick around for the rest of the work week. However, warm temperatures will disappear quickly with highs dropping into the lower 50’s tomorrow afternoon and then into the low 40’s on Friday. Lows will also drop, dipping into the low 30’s tomorrow morning and will then plummet back into the teens on Friday so it’s important to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn your sprinklers off beginning tonight. Windy conditions will continue tomorrow so it is imperative to be cautious while burning of any kind and to dispose of cigarettes properly. Over the weekend, temperatures will slowly move back above average and cloud cover will be on the increase and we will see rain chances re-emerge on Sunday.
