Happy Friday everyone! The warming trend continued today with highs moving back into the upper 60’s. This warm up will persist through tomorrow afternoon with highs jumping into the upper 70’s, but then we are watching for our next cold front to slide across the South Plains. This will happen Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon. Sunday temperatures will drop into the upper 50’s and we are expecting strong winds with blowing dust throughout the day. That cool down will also bring freezing low temperatures back into the forecast which means it is important to bring pets and potted plants indoors and to ensure that sprinklers are turned off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways. Despite our temperature fluctuations, we are expecting abundant sunshine throughout the next seven days with highs expected to remain in the upper 50’s to low 60’s beginning this Sunday and continuing through next Friday.
