Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been another mild day across the South Plains with highs staying in the upper 50’s and low 60’s. This will remain the case tomorrow as well, but then temperatures will jump into the upper 60’s and even the low 70’s by Friday. Lows will move into the upper 20’s tomorrow and then into the mid-30’s by Friday morning. Sunshine will be abundant and we are expecting breezy winds. Then on Friday night through Saturday morning we are watching for out next cold front to push across the South Plains knocking temperatures back into the upper 20’s Saturday morning and then the upper 50’s on Saturday afternoon. This means it is still important to bring pets and potted plants indoors during the late evening and early morning hours and to ensure that sprinklers are turned off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways.
