Happy Thursday everyone! It has been another mild day across the South Plains with highs staying in the upper 50’s and low 60’s and abundant sunshine across the region. Winds have been breezy throughout the day and will continue to stay strong through Saturday morning. Temperatures will jump into the mid-30’s tomorrow morning and the upper 60’s and even the low 70’s by tomorrow afternoon. This warm up will be short-lived though because our next cold front will slide across the area Friday night into Saturday morning. It will knock our temperatures back into the upper 20’s Saturday morning and then the upper 50’s on Saturday afternoon. This means it is still important to bring pets and potted plants indoors during the late evening and early morning hours and to ensure that sprinklers are turned off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways. Unfortunately, our next two fronts, the one progged for Friday night and the one set to arrive during the second half of next week, will both be dry.
