Happy Friday everyone! It has been a chilly and partly sunny day across the South Plains after the passage of the cold front earlier today. Thankfully, high temperatures will rebound quickly moving back into the low 50’s by Saturday, the low 60’s by Sunday, and then into the upper 60’s by Tuesday. In spite of this warming trend, lows are still expected to stay below the freezing mark through next Friday so don’t forget to bring your pets and potted plants indoors during the late evening and early morning hours. Temperatures will cool slightly on Wednesday after the passage of another dry cold front, but we will still stay above average through Friday. Sunshine will be abundant starting tomorrow through next week with no rain expected in the forecast at this time.
