Happy Tuesday everyone! After another very chilly day across the South Plains, we will finally start to see some relief beginning tomorrow. Our highs will rebound back to around average on Wednesday and Thursday, then into the upper 50’s on Friday, and then into the 60’s over the weekend. Sunshine will be abundant with calm winds throughout the week. However, in spite of the afternoon warm up, lows will still remain below the freezing mark tonight through Saturday morning. This means it is imperative to keep your pets and potted plants indoors and to turn sprinklers off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways. Also, make sure to wear layers during late evening and early morning hours because these cold temperatures can be dangerous to your health. Finally, next week our warming trend will end as our next cold front transverses the region bringing a temperature drop and some windy conditions so make sure to stay tuned for updates!
