Happy Wednesday everyone! The cold air has stuck around another day and this afternoon through tomorrow evening we are watching for our next chance for wintry precipitation. Accumulations are expected to reach up to 4”, mostly in the eastern South Plains. That means that it is imperative to bring pets and potted plants indoors to make sure they stay safe and to turn sprinklers off to prevent ice buildup on the roadways. Thursday will be icy to start out but temperatures will slowly warm up and sunshine will return allowing the ice and snow to melt. Low temperatures will remain below freezing for the next three mornings, but highs will move into the low 40’s tomorrow, the low 60’s by Friday and then the mid-60’s by the weekend.
