Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been another beautiful, sunny, and warm day across the South Plains with highs reaching back into the mid-90’s. This will remain the case for the rest of the work week with abundant sunshine in the forecast. That means that it is important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also don’t forget about your pets – if the pavement is too hot for you to walk on barefoot, then it is too hot for them as well. Then beginning over the weekend, northwest flow will return to the region allowing for an isolated chance for storms and a minor drop in temperatures. This will start on Saturday and continue through Monday so keep your umbrellas handy.
