Happy Thursday everyone! It has been another beautiful and sunny day across the South Plains with high temperatures back in the low to mid-90’s. Tomorrow’s temperatures will remain similar, but beginning this evening we will be watching for more chances for showers and thunderstorms that will continue on and off throughout the day on Friday and linger into Saturday morning. Thankfully, nothing severe is expected at this time. As we head into the second half of the weekend, storm chances will cease and temperatures will migrate back into the upper 90’s and the triple digits. That means it is important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours! Also, make sure to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated throughout the day.
