Happy Tuesday everyone! After a humid and rainy start to the week, the ridge of high pressure will take over our weather pattern, bringing sunny and dry conditions. We will also see a slow warming trend throughout the remainder of the work week with highs moving back into the upper 90’s and triple digits. That means it is important to continue to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets – if the pavement is too hot for you to walk on barefoot, then it is too hot for them as well. Then over the weekend, high pressure will clear out, allowing rain chances to return to the South Plains and a minor cool down.
