Happy Thursday everyone! The ridge of high pressure continues to drive our weather pattern this week with highs back in the mid to upper 90’s this afternoon. We are expecting more sunshine and dry conditions with a slow warming trend through Saturday afternoon. Highs will return to the upper 90’s and triple digits so it is important to continue to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets – if the pavement is too hot for you to walk on barefoot, then it is too hot for them as well. Our dry forecast will end as early as Saturday evening though, due to the ridge moving out and a slow moving low pressure system moving into the region. Storms could begin as early as Saturday evening and will continue through Tuesday. We will also see a minor cooling trend with highs moving back to around average for the start of next week.
