Happy Monday everyone! Just like yesterday, we will continue to see hot and sunny conditions across the South Plains with a slight chance for scattered thunderstorm development in the afternoon and evening hours. This will also remain the case for your Tuesday with high remaining in the upper 90’s all week long. This means that it is important to remember to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets – if the pavement is too hot for you to walk on barefoot, then it is too hot for them as well. We will see a brief break in the rain on Wednesday before the next low pressure system to our north continues to move east, bringing us more rain chances for your Thursday and Friday.
