Happy Wednesday everyone! Today was another sunny and hot day across the South Plains with highs back in the upper 90’s and triple digits. Conditions will remain dry today through Saturday for the majority of the South Plains with a few storms possible to the northwest. With the abundant sunshine and heat, it is important to remember to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets – if the pavement is too hot for you to walk on barefoot, then it is too hot for them as well. Things will start to change over the weekend though when a cold front pushes across the region bringing more widespread rain chances as well as a much needed cool down for the beginning of next week. Make sure to stay tuned for updates!
