Happy Saturday everyone! It has been beautiful, sunny, and hotter day across the South Plains with highs bumping back into the upper 90’s and the triple digits. Temperatures will remain hot for the next six days so make sure to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. While we will have a break from the rain for the remainder of the day, we will watch for storm chances to return as early as tomorrow and continuing through Tuesday. This is due to the fact that the dry line will move back into the region right along the Texas/New Mexico border. At this point in time, the Storm Prediction Center has placed us under the general thunderstorm category so we are not expecting severe storms at this time. This can change though so stay tuned for updates.
