Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been an overcast and muggy start to the day as showers and thunderstorms continue to move across the region. There is an isolated chance that we will see a few more storms overnight tonight and into very early Thursday morning so keep those umbrellas handy. Sunshine will take over beginning late Thursday morning and will stick around through much of your Saturday with highs remaining in the low 90’s. Then beginning on Saturday evening, a low pressure system to our north will bring us our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. These chances will be amplified throughout the beginning of next week when the tropical disturbance the is currently over the Atlantic will move into the Gulf and then over South Texas. Heavy rain is expected in portions of the region so make sure to stay tuned for updates! Despite our on and off rain chances, it is still important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, make sure to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated throughout the day.
