June 14th, 2018 Evening Weather

Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a beautiful and sunny start to the day with highs back in the low to mid-90’s. Just like today, your FINALLY Friday forecast includes mid-90’s and more sunshine! Saturday will start out similar but by the early evening hours, we are watching for our next chance for storms due to a low pressure system to our north. These chances will be amplified throughout the beginning of next week when Tropical Storm Bud makes landfall over Mexico and the tropical disturbance that is currently over the Atlantic moves into the Gulf and then over South Texas. This will provide ample moisture to our region, allowing for the development of showers and thunderstorms that will drop heavy rainfall amounts to portions of the region so make sure to stay tuned for updates! Despite our on and off rain chances, it is still important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, make sure to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated throughout the day.
